Office staff provide support for faculty appointments and development, merit reviews and promotions, leaves of absence, fellowships, and more. The office handles employment matters for all academic employees — from faculty and lecturers to adjunct professors and librarians — and is a great resource for navigating 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ policies and processes.

Research Computing

buoys the talent and research of UC Riverside’s acclaimed faculty members and outstanding graduate and undergraduate students through powerful onsite and offsite computing resources, support, consulting, and training. Their work is supported by partnerships and collaborations with various areas of campus, including: the 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Library, Bourns College of Engineering, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, School of Medicine, Office of Research and Economic Development, and 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Research IT Leaders. Through a recent 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ is modernizing its technology services, increasing campus computing and storage capacity — and saving our researchers both time and money.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ to start construction of research and economic development park
UC Riverside will celebrate a major step forward in its efforts to drive economic growth in the Inland Empire as it begins construction of an innovation park that will bring together research, entrepreneurship, and education at one hub near campus. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday, June 23 for the SoCal OASISâ„¢ Park, the first major infrastructure project under the SoCal OASISâ„¢ umbrella. The project is expected to be completed by spring 2027.

S. Jack Hu was named chancellor of UC Riverside on May 28. Several days later, he traveled to 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ for some faculty, staff, and student visits. The University Relations news & content team spoke with him during his visit; following is a transcript of that conversation.  91¶ÌÊÓÆµ News: You have held successful, long-term leadership positions at University of Michigan and at University of Georgia. You no doubt had the opportunity to ride out your career in a comfortable, rewarding environment. What compelled you instead to pursue the chancellorship at UC Riverside?

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Health announces major expansion
91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Health announced on Tuesday, June 3, a major expansion of its clinical footprint, with a signed letter of intent targeting an initial 21 acres in Riverside at the intersection of Valley Springs Parkway and Gateway Drive. The vision for the site will include an outpatient diagnostic center and possible future expansion. The announcement is the largest step by 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Health toward a full healthcare footprint in the Inland Empire, which contends with both explosive population growth and an inadequate supply of primary and specialty-care physicians.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ in top 1.3% of world universities
UC Riverside ranked in the top 1.3% of universities worldwide in the 2025 Center for World University Rankings, released Monday, June 2. The campus ranked No. 268 out of 21,462. Nationally, 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ landed at No. 82, the same position as last year. For the U.S. and Canada it was No. 92, up three places from last year.
